As
a freelancer, you work hard for your money and Elance wants to be sure you get
it when you need it. Elance offers several free options for you to withdraw
payments from your Elance account.
Withdrawing
from your Elance account can be done in a few simple steps:
1.
Sign
into your Elance account.
2.
Click
on the Manage tab in the top navigation.
3.
Select
Withdraw and your preferred method from the, Select withdrawal method drop down
list.
4.
Complete
the withdrawal amount. You'll be able to preview your request before clicking
Submit to confirm.
What
withdrawal methods are available for Pakistan?
If
you're a freelancer located in Pakistan, you can withdrawal your Elance funds
using any of the following methods:
1. Wire
Transfer
Withdraw in your local currency
or US dollars. If you opt for local currency, Elance will convert your funds at
wholesale foreign exchange rates and then send them directly to your account
through our global banking platform.

Costs:
·
Each
Elance account is allowed one free Local Currency wire transfer per calendar
month. Any additional Local Currency wire transfer withdrawal within one
calendar month will be charged a $5.00 processing fee, which will be deducted
from your available balance prior to the wire transfer. The $5.00 Wire Transfer
Processing Fee will be displayed on your Transaction History as a separate line
item.

Each
US Dollar wire transfer will be charged $25 per transfer, which will be
deducted from your available balance prior to the wire transfer. The $25.00 Wire
Transfer Processing Fee will be displayed on your Transaction History as a
separate line item.
·
Refunding
processing fees:
Wire transfer processing fees will be reversed by Elance if an error occurred
due to our procedures. However, if you have entered in the incorrect banking
information causing the error, Elance will not reverse Wire Transfer processing
fees.
2. Additional notes on Wire
Transfers:
·
Your
bank account must be listed on your 'Financial Accounts' page prior to
requesting a withdrawal. Contact your bank for information on authorizing a
wire transfer to your bank (for example, providing the appropriate bank
identification code). Depending on your location, you may need to enter
intermediary bank information in order to process your wire transfer.
·
Some
banks will require a note to be attached to the wire, such as purpose of
payment or a correspondent bank account number. If your bank requires specific
information to be sent with the wire, you must include this information in the
field "Special Instructions (optional)" at time of withdrawal
request. A maximum of 70 alphanumeric or space characters is allowed.

2. Payoneer
– Elance Prepaid MasterCard through Payoneer
·
Electronically
deposit your withdrawal directly to your Elance Prepaid MasterCard
·
$20
withdrawal minimum.
·
Free
to use,
·
Payoneer
is not available to users in India.
3. Skril
·
Electronically
deposit your withdrawal directly to your Skrill account.
·
No
minimum withdrawal amount.
·
Free
to use.
How long does
it take: What are the withdrawal and processing times?
Depending on which withdrawal
method you select, processing times may vary. Click here to find out more
information on delivery of your funds.
Wire
Transfer withdrawals (in US Dollars and Local Currency) will arrive in your
bank account within 10 business days after you request withdrawal. Processing
times vary significantly from bank to bank. It is up to your bank how long it
will take your funds to clear; they may be available instantly or held for
processing overnight.

How can I
check on the status of my withdrawal?
We know your money is important
to you and Elance makes it easy to check on the status of your withdrawal. To
check on a withdrawal, sign into your Elance account and click
Manage/Transactions.
Did
you submit a withdrawal but haven't seen your funds deposited yet? We're here
to help:
First,
make sure you've given us some time to process your request. Check with us if
you have requested a withdrawal and have not received it within the times
specified below for each withdrawal method:

Check
Withdrawal - if you have not received the check within 10 business days.
·
ACH
Transfer - if you have not received payment after 5 business days.
·
Wire
Transfer - if you have not received payment after 10 business days.
·
PayPal
- if you have not received payment after 3 business days.
·
Payoneer
- if you have not received payment after 3 business days.
You
can contact Elance for a status of your withdrawal by clicking the Contact
Support link on our website. Please include the dollar amount, the relevant
account information (bank details or Skrill email address), and the date you
requested the withdrawal.
How can you
add a withdrawal method to your Elance account?

Skrill:
·
Click
on the Manage tab in the top navigation and select Financial Accounts.
·
Click
on the Enter New Skrill Acct button.
·
Enter
your details, preview and click Submit to confirm the account.
2
Wire Transfer Bank Account
Information (For Wire Transfers in Local Currency):
·
Click
on the Manage tab in the top navigation and select Financial Accounts.
·
Click
Enter New Bank Acct.
·
Select
your Bank Account Type and enter your Bank Information.
·
Choose
your Destination Currency from the drop down menu.
·
Enter
the Account Holder Information and click Continue.
NOTE:
To ensure that your withdrawal goes through, do not include dashes when you
enter your banking details - use numbers and letters only. Do not click on the
Add Intermediary Bank button.
There
is a 5 day processing period for any new bank account before funds can be
withdrawn to the new account.
If
you already have a bank account on file that you wish to use for Wire Transfer
(Local Currency) withdrawals, you can edit the bank account details to receive
payment. To edit a bank account, sign into your account and follow the steps
below:

Click
the Manage tab in the top navigation and select Financial Accounts.
·
Click
Edit to the right of your bank account.
·
Choose
your Destination Currency from the drop down menu. Click Continue and follow
the prompts.
